Mike Nelson

Mike Nelson founded Afonova Nelson Homes LLC in 2022 as the President.  Mike’s primary role is working with potential clients and each homeowner to build the greatest new home or the opportunity to remodel an existing condominium or home.

Mike started his career in construction in 1999 with Turner Construction in Miami, FL.  His time with Turner Construction took him through many roles in Miami, FL; New York, NY & Stamford, CT., most notably as a field engineer and then a superintendent at The Continuum, a luxury high-rise condominium built on the point on South Beach.

Prior to launching Afonova Nelson Homes, in 2014 Mike joined BCB Homes, a premier builder in the Port Royal Naples area.  Mike’s first role was a project manager where he managed to build many new homes and numerous custom renovations.  He left there as a Project Executive working with new clients to develop their projects from conception through construction to realization of the finished project.

Mike graduated from Everglades University in 2010 with a B.S. degree in Construction Management and in 2012 with a Master’s in Business Administration.  With his degrees and career experience, he has held various positions; field engineer, superintendent, general superintendent, project manager, project executive and now president.

In Mike’s free time he enjoys spending time with his wife Viktoriya, and their two sons, James and Vlad.
